Wittenberg University student writes of how storm shook up spring break service trip

Springfield, Ohio’s Wittenberg University has become a tremendous booster of The Fuller Center for Housing’s work — especially each spring break when dozens of Wittenberg students spend a week working with covenant partners in the Southeast. As part of Wittenberg’s “#LifeAtWitt” series, the Class of 2020’s Mallory Moss has shared a blog post about how her group’s trip to work with the Chattahoochee Fuller Center Project was impacted by a tornado and storms.

“It was a very unpredictable week, but it was an amazing experience that I will always remember,” Mallory writes. “Wittenberg’s motto is ‘Having Light We Pass It On To Others,’ and we did just that with our time in Alabama. To learn that your work means so much to someone else made me understand the value that comes from helping others, and that simply lending a helping hand is one of the easiest things you can do to make a difference in the world.”
