
Volunteers from St. Francis Builds find people “filled with hope and faith” in Puerto Rico
The Catholic Standard caught up with a group of 19 volunteers from St. Francis Builds — a project of St. Camillus Parish in Silver Spring, Maryland — to hear about their experience working the Fuller Center Global Builders in the area of Maunabo, Puerto Rico, where they found there is much work left to do helping families impacted by Hurricane Maria. Yet, as volunteer Mary Anne Marcot explained: “The people there, amidst devastation, are filled with hope and faith.
