Three new homes dedicated for tornado victims in Beauregard, Alabama

Less than two weeks after volunteers began raising walls on three houses in Beauregard, Alabama, the homes were dedicated Thursday morning in a day full of emotions expressed through beaming smiles, hugs and tears of joy. It was much-needed burst of hope in a community that has been reeling ever since the deadly March 3 tornado.

The three-home build was funded primarily by East Alabama Medical Center’s charitable foundation and is a precursor to the building of at least 12 more homes in Beauregard, including 10 more during the 2019 Millard Fuller Legacy Build slated for the week of September 29 through October 4.
