IN THE NEWS: Teacher discusses summer plans to bike across country for housing

(Daily News-Journal) Lindsey Bawcom, a special education teach at Stewarts Creek Elementary school in Smyrna, Tenn., loves cycling, but she loves helping people even more. She just learned about The Fuller Center for Housing last year when she signed up for the Fuller Center Bicycle Adventure’s spring ride down the Natchez Trace. Then she joined a segment of the Bicycle Adventure’s summer ride — a weeklong stretch from Chicago to Billings, Montana. "It really touched my heart," said Lawcom, who will make the entire 4,000-mile summer journey this year to raise money for a new Fuller Center covenant partner she and a few others are looking to start in middle Tennessee.
