Since Madagascar joined The Fuller Center family a decade ago, it has become one of our most remarkable success stories. And, today, you have an opportunity to participate in one of our most unique matching gift opportunities.

Working in one of the world’s poorest nations, our partners in Madagascar have built more than 400 homes for families who once had little hope of ever having a safe place to live. Making this even more extraordinary is how little assistance they require from our U.S. headquarters.

Through innovation, determination, and faith, they have developed affordable methods of building and repairing homes alongside families. Each new home includes a detached sanitation building with a latrine and bathing area, dramatically improving health, safety, and dignity.

Most importantly, the families themselves have embraced the opportunity to pay it forward. Through no-profit, no-interest loans repaid over approximately 12 years, homeowners help create the opportunity for their neighbors to receive the same hand-up they received. One family’s success becomes another family’s opportunity.

Now, thanks to this unique matching gift opportunity, Madagascar stands at an exciting crossroads. After narrowly missing the 100-home mark in 2024 by building 99 homes, the team is preparing to expand into three additional communities while surpassing 100 homes in a single year for the first time. Their vision is bold but achievable to bring the blessing of simple, decent
housing to places where it has never been before.
