Special message from Linda Fuller:
"Beyond the American Dream" is Millard’s only autobiography covering the first 30 years of his life from Alabama country boy to millionaire. He completed it in 1968 shortly after we made the decision to divest ourselves of our wealth and rededicate our lives to following a higher path.
I rediscovered the hand-typed manuscript in the back of a filing cabinet soon after Millard’s passing last year. I knew immediately what had to be done. I devoted countless hours transcribing the 230-page book on my computer and was thrilled when our friends at Smyth & Helwys agreed to publish it. Millard was a phenomenal storyteller and many people have told me this book is one of his best. I couldn’t help but feel this book is Millard’s parting gift to us.
It’s almost as if he is saying, "I’m still with you! Keep it up!"
Because I’m so excited, I have decided to pre-release one of them–it’s from 1969, around the same time he completed "Beyond the American Dream." This historic recording captures a 56-minute speech Millard made to the Atlanta Christian Council focusing on his mentor and Koinonia Farm founder Clarence Jordan, as well as his own spiritual journey. I’m asking The Fuller Center to send out a FREE CD of this 1969 sermon as a special holiday gift with each purchase of "Beyond the American Dream". |
One CD comes with each book, so that means if you order three books, you get three CDs!
The book and the CD not only make wonderful gifts, it’s a great way to support the work of the Fuller Center for Housing.
Again, 100 percent of all proceeds from the sale of "Beyond the American Dream" go towards the Fuller Center’s mission of building and repairing homes for people in need.
Thank you in advance for being part of this historic book and CD release and for your continued support of this ministry.
Wishing you and yours a wonderful holiday season,
Linda Fuller
