Situated between the modern conveniences of Portland and Boston lies the cities of Biddeford-Saco, Maine; the home of Maine’s first Fuller Center for Housing. The Southern Maine Fuller Center for Housing will provide assistance in Saco and surrounding communities with low income housing needs. Their focus will be to improve the existing housing stock through the Greater Blessing Box program. The Greater Blessing Box program does repair and renovation on existing homes for seniors, disabled and those homeowners on fixed incomes.
The first Greater Blessing Box project has begun for Southern Maine Fuller Center for Housing. The badly needed repairs will be for a single mother with 2 young daughters. The work on the home will include, roof replacement, foundation and floor work, electrical repairs, and drywall work. Volunteers, donations, and materials are needed to help with all the critical work that is necessary to make this home safe and secure. If you can donate or volunteer please contact Pat Frechette at 207-283-3205 or email at firstname.lastname@example.org .
