IN THE NEWS: Family exceeds sweat equity requirement nearly tenfold

(Kansas City Star) “It’s a life changer,” Lizbette Saenz-Rodriguez said during Sunday’s dedication of her family of six’s new house in North Kansas City, a home built in partnership with the Fuller Center for Housing of Greater Kansas City. The family completed nearly 2,000 hours of sweat equity in the building of the home and will pay back the costs of construction with zero-percent mortgage payments that benefit other families in need.
