IN THE NEWS: Rebuilding homes and trust in Atlantic City

(The Press of Atlantic City) Merle Brown of the Fuller Center for Housing in the New Jersey Pines is among those featured in today’s Press of Atlantic City article about how nonprofit organizations like The Fuller Center are encountering skepticism even as they try to help residents whose homes still need repairs months after Superstorm Sandy struck the Jersey shore. “Lots of well-intentioned people came in after the storm and maybe didn’t do such a great job (with work),” Brown tells reporter Sarah Watson. “We’re also dealing with a lot of people who have been promised a lot of things and nothing has been delivered.” The Fuller Center in the New Jersey Pines, hosts of this year’s April 28-May 3 Millard Fuller Legacy Build is among those changing that perception.
