Fuller Center Disaster ReBuilders restoring hope in Kentucky, two years after tornado
December 10 marked the two-year anniversary of the massive tornadoes that left a path of destruction across Western Kentucky. The Fuller Center Disaster ReBuilders reacted quickly and were on the ground working the very next month.
In their two years of service in Western Kentucky, the Disaster ReBuilders have welcomed more than 900 volunteers who have helped them build 25 new homes and conduct 20 major repairs. The Disaster ReBuilders also have distributed 120 much-needed sheds in the area.
The Disaster ReBuilders plan to work in the area for at least another year and continue to welcome volunteers to their outstanding host facility, First Christian Church of Madisonville, Ky. Visit their webpage to learn more about volunteering in Kentucky or supporting the Disaster ReBuilders.
