Since 2008, the United States Embassy in Armenia has partnered with the Fuller Center for Housing of Armenia to build homes for families living in substandard conditions.

This year the program, known as “Helping Hands,” allowed Embassy employees and their families to honor the anniversary of the 9/11 attacks by helping to build a better world. Employees worked with the Aloyan family to near completion on the home they began constructing four years ago.

“It is impossible to explain the happiness we feel each day when we see the progress of our house and feel that soon, very soon, we will move to our new home,” expressed Sargis Aloyan, who lives with his wife, Anie, their two children, and his brother’s family.
