Build Information:
The 2012 Millard Fuller Legacy Build in Peru will
During the week individuals will be assigned to a group and an individual home. Each group will work along side the family as they work together on building walls, installing windows/door, raising the roof, and adding the finishing touches to the home. By Friday, the homes will be complete and the families we be handed their keys on top of a Bible at the dedication.
Registration:
Late Registration – Full Payment due July 1st or after: $900
What’s included: Your registration fee for the period of September 1-8 covers pickup from the airport, volunteer lodging, meals, daily transportation, emergency medical and evacuation insurance, a hat, a t-shirt, and a donation to the project. It does not include flight into Lima. Additional options and site-seeing are extra as described below.

House Sponsorship:
In order to make this event possible we need individuals like yourself to help donate and recruit individuals, businesses, and churches to sponsor a home. During the build we will be building 10 homes, therefore we need a total of 10 sponsorships. The cost for a house sponsorship is $5,500. Each sponsor is allowed to send one representitive at no registration cost (airfare is not included). Volunteer Lodging (Recommended):
Campamento Palabra de Vida
Nuevo Imperial, Peru
Cost: No additional cost to registered volunteers
Reservations: Please select volunteer lodging on your registration form. Once your registration is received a confirmation email will be sent from the Fuller Center office within 48 hours. Cabins are divided by gender and will be assigned by office staff.
Information: Lodging is provided in gender-specific cabins with a common area for showers and restroom facilities. Bunk beds are provided in each room holding between 8 and 12 people per room. Mattresses are provided, but each individual will need to bring their own linens, pillow, towel, and toiletries.
Campamento Palabra de Vida is located just 5 minutes from the build site and will be the site for all meals during the build week. The camp provides a wide range of activities including soccer fields, a basketball court, volleyball courts, ping-pong tables, swimming pools, bond fire site, snack bar, and a perfect view of the sunset each night.
Hotel Lodging:
Reservations: Two hotels are provided at an additional cost for all those desiring to have a single, double, or triple room. All hotel lodgings will be based on a first-come first-served basis and will be arranged by the Fuller Center office. Please select hotel option on the registration and details about your preferences will be requested after your registration has been received.
Option 1: Las Dunas
Imperial, Peru
Cost: Additional $120 per person for the week
Information: Las Dunas is located 15 minutes from the build site and is located next to an Internet cafe and a handful of small family-owned convenience shops. Meals will be provided at the volunteer housing location. Each room includes bedding, towels, pillows, hot water, a fan, and cable TV.
Option 2: El Conde
Nuevo Imperial, Peru
Cost: Additional $120 per person for the week
Information: El Conde is located just 10 minutes from the build site and is nestled at the end of a long alley. Meals will be provided at the volunteer housing location, but food and drinks can be purchased on the main floor of the hotel as well. Each room includes bedding, towels, hot water, and cable TV.
Pre-Build Volunteering and Lodging:
Contact Hailey Dady at globalbuilders@fullercenter.org for pre-build opportunities, lodging, and expenses. All pre-arrivals must be pre-arranged and pre-approved.
Transportation:
Lima International Airport, Lima, Peru – Located 90 miles north of build
Arrival Times: All participates must arrive on Saturday, September 1, 2012 between 8:00 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. unless other arrangements have been made with the office.
Shuttle Times: The first shuttle will depart at 11:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 1st followed by the second shuttle at 1:00 a.m. on Sunday, September 2nd.
The shuttle transportation will be provided from the airport to housing options during the evening of Saturday, September 1st and early morning of Sunday, September 2nd. Shuttles will be arranged for flights departing between, Saturday, September 8th and Monday, September 10th. Please provide your flight information at your earliest convenience to Hailey Dady at globalbuilders@fullercenter.org to be put on the airport shuttle list. The shuttle list will be set up according to arrival and departure times and delays may occur depending on flight delays. Please be flexible, as we will make the transition as smooth as possible. The shuttle will take around 2 1/2 hours from the time it departs the airport to reach the different housing options.

Option 1: One-Day White Water Rafting
Est. Cost: $50 per person
Come enjoy a day in Lunahunana with the excitement of white water rafting. The hour trip down the majestic Canete River will leave you with an unforgettable experience. Take in the breathtaking views as you rush down the rapids. Never been white water rafting before, great! Let this be the first of many more trips. Rapids in September will be between 2 and 3, which are great for beginners. Before departing the trained staff will give a 20-minute safety and instructional guide on everything you would need to know. After returning to Lunahuana enjoy a relaxing meal at one of the many restaurants around town.

Option 2: One-Day Paracus Trip
Est. Cost: $75 per person
Paracus, which is two hours south of La Florida, is known for its national park and wildlife reserve. This one-day adventure includes a 2-hour boat ride to the Ballesta Island. The islands are home to thousands of birds, sea lions, penguins, and occasionally dolphins. Make sure to have your camera because you will want to take many photos of the breath

Option 3: One-Day Ungara Fortress & Cerro Azul Beach
Est Cost: $50
Start out the morning with a drive into the countryside to view some of history with the pre-Inca ruins of Fortaleza de Ungara. The age of the fortress may be unknown but the pure glory of the view will make you stop and take everything in. Walk among the walls and touch what used to house those so many years ago.
After hiking the fortress enjoy the relaxing afternoon

Option 4: Two-Day Inca Mountain Experience
Est. Cost: $175
The Inca Mountain experience is a trip, which will take you up the valley to the historic town of Alis. Take in the sights along the 6-hours ride up the mountain. Watch as the valley narrows and the mountains change from dirt, to rocks, and finally ending with the Inca terraces.
On Sunday we will begin back down the mountain stopping at a local farm where you can learn about farm life. Also enjoy the experience of cooking and eating traditional Inca food cooked completely underground. With full stomachs enjoy the rest of the scenery down the mountain.

Option 5: Two-Day Nasca Lines and Paracus
Est. Cost: $250
Nazca, which is 5-hours south of La Florida, is home of the Nazca Lines and Aqueducts. Spend the afternoon walking around the aqueducts and flying over the Nazca lines in our own personal tour group. After embracing the sites of these wonders we will head back up the coast to Paracus.
