National Society of Collegiate Scholars – volunteer opportunities
We are proud to partner with the National Soceity of Collegiate Scholars (NSCS) in promoting service and volunteer opportunities to high achieving students. With over a billion people living in poverty housing globally, we need all the sharp young minds and hands we can get.
Love to travel…with a purpose? Get a group together to travel the world to any of our Global Builders host locations in places like Peru, Ghana, Nepal, and Haiti, or sign up on your own with one of our open teams. Spend 1-2 weeks helping to build homes and learning from your immersion experience. We’re one of the most affordable options around. Learn more.
Experience an alternative break at any time of the year working side-by-side with a local community-driven effort. Most trips are 5-7 days in which your group will bond together as you help to build or repair homes. It’s a great way to experience part of the country you have never seen before. Learn more.
Every summer, a group of intrepid volunteers rides their bicycles thousands of miles across the nation’s beautiful countryside, sleeping on church floors and helping to build homes as they go. Some go the whole way, while others join for one or more week-long segments, but together they all form a tight community. This event has been growing quickly since its start in 2008, with over 60 riders participating in summer 2014. We also have a separate 1-week ride down the gorgeous Natchez Trace Parkway every spring. Learn more.
Awareness and fundraising are two of our biggest needs. Consider organizing an event on your campus such as a run or sleep-out, or taking up a collection at an existing event like a soccer game. We’ll stand behind you 100% in supporting your efforts and help ensure your work makes a real difference for families around the world. Contact Ryan at email@example.com to discuss further.
