Millard Fuller receives MLK Humanitarian Award (1992)

Millard Fuller, Founder and President of Habitat for Humanity International (1976-2004) and The Fuller Center for Housing (2005-2009) was presented the 1992 Martin Luther King, Jr. Humanitarian Award by Georgia’s Governor Joe Frank Harris. Fuller’s 6-minute speech praised Dr. King for recognizing people by the content of their character rather than the color of their skin as well as his advocacy and practice of non-violence.
