VIDEO: Linda Fuller's first Build for Women a huge success
For years, Jetorrie Johnson and her 7-year-old son Matthew have lived in a dilapidated apartment complex, where pervasive black mold has exacerbated Matthew’s struggles with asthma. But thanks to dozens of volunteers and several talented constuction leaders at last week’s Lind-A Hand Build (Linda Fuller’s Build for Women), mother and son will soon be moving into a clean, new home that they can own on affordable terms with no interest charged and no profit made. And their payments will go into a fund to help others like them become homeowner. This Lind-A Hand project is the 34th home build for the Chattahoochee Fuller Center Project that is based in Millard Fuller’s hometown of Lanett, Alabama.
