IN THE NEWS: Katy's Corner in Bossier City honors teen's legacy
(Bossier Press-Tribune) The Fuller Center for Housing of Northwest Louisiana has partnered with Bossier City’s Asbury United Methodist Church to build two new homes on what’s now known as Katy’s Corner. The homes were built in memory of Katy Watkins, a teenager who died in a 2006 car accident. Watkins was a member of Asbury and had a heart for serving others, including a passion for the affordable housing movement. "She was the nicest person I never met," said Charles Brown, homeowner partner on the first Katy Build house. Click here to read the touching story.
