IN THE NEWS: ReUse Store adds boutique section to boost proceeds for mission

(ActionNews17, The Daily Star) The Ginger Ford Northshore Fuller Center for Housing in Hammond, La., has expanded its successful ReUse Store operation to include a boutique area called "The Rabbit Hole" — featuring gently used fashion items along with repurposed furniture, fixtures and decorative items. As with other items sold through the ReUse Store, proceeds will benefit Ginger Ford Northshore’s mission of building and repairing houses in the Livingston and Tangipahoa parishes. There will be a grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony at 10 a.m. CDT Saturday, Sept. 28, the same day Ginger Ford Northshore dedicates a new home for Sonia Johnson on Lovett Street in Hammond. For more information about Ginger Ford Northshore’s ReUse Store, contact Kimi McDonald at reusestore@gingerfordnorthshore.org.
