IN THE NEWS: Mercer basketball team talks about upcoming Africa trip

(WMAZ-TV) Reporter Suzanne Lawler offers an in-depth look at the Mercer University women’s basketball team’s upcoming trip to Ghana in this five-minute video report accompanied by a story and 43-photo slideshow from the team’s recent visit to Fuller Center headquarters in Americus and meeting with President Jimmy Carter in Plains. The team will be the first-ever U.S. women’s basketball team to play exhibition games in Ghana. They will focus on basketball the first week, then spend two weeks building homes with The Fuller Center for Housing.
