Hammond Daily Star reports on ‘angels’ helping families recover from Hurricane Ida in Louisiana
PONCHATOULA, Louisiana — The Hammond Daily Star caught up with Fuller Center Disaster ReBuilders as they worked on their 29th project since working in conjunction with the Ginger Ford Northshore Fuller Center to help residents of Tangipahoa Parish whose homes were damaged by Hurricane Ida last year. Amazingly, that storm wreaked havoc from the Gulf Coast to the Northeast, where others, including The Fuller Center of Greater New York City also are helping residents whose homes were flooded by the remnant of Ida. The article also shines a light on the work of our friends at AmeriCorps.
