Fuller Center of Greater New York’s Build-A-Thon honors MLK’s dream and legacy

The Fuller Center for Housing of Greater New York City found ways to keep building and keep volunteers involved even through the pandemic and difficult times in 2020. They’ve renewed their energy with a positive slogan to help them charge into the new year — “Blessed and Fun in 2021!”

One of those positive events to start the year actually is a 20-year tradition — the MLK Build-a-Thon, which begins this Saturday and continues through January 24. In addition, the build will honor a volunteer who helped bring homeownership to others — longtime Mamaroneck resident Keith Yizer. That is a new tradition. Last month, Greater New York FCH issued its first such monthly dedication for John Gallagher, who helped build eight homes in Ossining.
