'Around the World in 80 Days' of Building!

May 29 - August 16, 2020

Canceled volunteer events and fundraisers threaten to halt our mission of helping families worldwide have a healthy, decent home in which to thrive — right when they need it most. Our response: an ambitious 50,000 land-mile journey together around the globe through every Fuller Center country and many others! Virtually.

New Weekly Challenge Starts Fresh Every Friday

Current Location: Victory Lap! (Ocean Miles)

How It Works

Register and receive your customizable fundraising page, then share the link with potential donors.

Funds raised will enable us to build 80 homes in 16 locations most in need of our help right now, even at this time when travel is not possible.

Global Builders Virtual Teams work together to sponsor entire homes. When registering, choose to join individually, join a team, or create a team.

Log your miles cycling, walking, jogging, spinning or hopping — any form of active transportation — as we collectively trek every mile around the earth.

To track miles, create or login to your free RidewithGPS account and join our organization goal of 50,000 active miles using the button above.

Or submit miles manually each time using the button below.

Friendly weekly competitions with points for funds and miles keeps it fun, with great prizes.

Plus, ALL participants can earn non-competitive prizes just for fundraising!

Think of the prizes as our little Thank Yous. See prizes.

The COVID-19 outbreak has caused unprecedented cancellations of Global Builders trips, Bike Adventures, and other Fuller Center volunteer events that our partners rely upon to do their important work.

Yet this period of “shelter at home” highlights the need for our work. Spending more time trapped at home increases exposure to infectious diseases for kids who live in inadequate housing such as damp, cold and moldy environments. Globally, houses of mud walls and floors combined with poor sanitation create an environment for life-threatening diseases like Chagas, severe diarrhea, cholera, typhoid, and malaria. Diarrhea alone tragically claims the lives of more than 800,000 children under age five every year (Source: CDC). Our work helps to address these issues.

Our volunteers may not be able to physically build homes together at this time, but what better way to respond than by joining a community through which to move together and address one of the largest causes of endemic diseases around the world: poor shelter.

Health professionals have stated that cycling outdoors during the coronavirus pandemic can be done safely. Here is a collection of resources for safe outdoor activity during the pandemic.

Local guidelines are continuously changing, and we ask that you follow the recommendations and requirements in your community. Of course, a home stationary bike, bike on a trainer, or home treadmill should always remain a socially-distant option.

No. The funds will be put to immediate use in helping to build homes with families.

Yes. Riders who registered for our 2020 Florida to Florence, West Coast, Natchez Trace and Tour de Florida rides will continue using your existing MyFCBA fundraising pages. Rides that get postponed until 2021 will have the credit transferred forward.

It’s the funds raised that change lives so we hope everyone will fundraise, but there’s no minimum requirement for funds or mileage to participate. Only prizes may require minimums as indicated. Come join us!
