2016 Global Builders Retreat
The past couple of years we have hosted Global Builders Team Leader Gatherings in conjunction with the Fuller Center’s US Covenant Partner conference. This year we have decided to do something a little different by taking a break from our Leadership Gatherings to host our first Global Builders Team Leader Retreat! This will be a much more informal gathering that will allow you to meet other team leaders and discuss a number of topics related to leading GB trips. Scroll down to learn more.
Dates
October 21-23, 2016 – The retreat will start at 5:30pm on Friday and will run through mid-morning on Sunday.
Location
Jubilee Partners – Comer, GA:
Jubilee was founded in 1979 by a couple of people who were part of Koinonia Farm (birthplace of Habitat for Humanity and the Fuller Center). Jubilee’s focus is helping international refugees get acclimated to life in the US by teaching them English and basic life skills – http://www.jubileepartners.
Cost
Early Bird Registration fee: $50
This fee will cover your lodging for Friday and Saturday night as well as dinner Friday night, all three meals Saturday, and breakfast Sunday morning. In addition to the meals and lodging, the registration fee will provide a small donation to Jubilee Partners and help cover some transportation costs (see more information about this below).
Lodging
Participants will get the opportunity to stay on-site at Jubilee Partners for the weekend! They have a couple of guesthouses that they are allowing us to use.
Travel Information
The closest airport to Comer, GA is Atlanta. We are offering a one time shuttle service for those arriving no later than 3pm on Friday, October 21. Anyone who is arriving after 3pm will have to make other travel arrangements using a local shuttle service or by renting a car.
