Fuller Center and Lazarian World Homes partner to build $3,000 homes in Haiti
The Fuller Center will build homes in Haiti in partnership with Lazarian World Homes. The first house materials will ship from San Diego on June 23.
Watch the video to the right to see the 3-D plans for the Haiti House. Lazarian World Homes designed a 16’x16′ home using styrofoam blocks, concrete and rebar that can be built for less than $3,000. The first two homes are ready to go and will be shipped as soon as possible to serve as a temporary clinic and an office/model home. "We are pleased to be using the Lazarian World Home design," Fuller Center President David Snell said. "It is well-engineered, is earthquake-, hurricane- and fire-resistant, is very easy to build, and has components that can be made in the nearby Dominican Republic." |
The house forms will be assembled in the Dominican Republic at a plant Lazarian World Homes already has established there. The photo (left) was taken by board chair LeRoy Troyer from his trip with president David Snell to Tecate, Mexico. The home is a Lazarian World Home built in Mexico that will be similar to the homes The Fuller Center will build in Haiti. |

The Fuller Center of Armenia has also partnered with Lazarian World Homes and speaks very highly of the Lazarian homes.
The Fuller Center is seeking donations to fund the building of as many homes as possible to help earthquake survivors establish some amount of normalcy. We’re challenging each church to sponsor a home. Read about the home challenge here.
In addition, nearly 200 people have expressed interest in volunteering for a work team to build homes once we’re established on the ground in Haiti. Visit our Haiti Web page for more information.
