Fuller Center of Delaware was inspired during Bicycle Adventure ride along Natchez Trace
Michelle Williams and husband Jay Kirby signed up for the Fuller Center Bicycle Adventure’s Natchez Trace ride in the spring of 2019. During the ride, they saw the tremendous need for decent housing and realized that The Fuller Center model could help families in similar situations back home in Delaware. They were inspired to form a new Fuller Center covenant partner, but those plans were interrupted by a string a tragedies — including Jay’s death after he was struck while riding his bicycle a few months later — and then the pandemic. Today, The Fuller Center of Delaware stands ready to assist families in need and is looking to raise money for that effort through the DoMore24 Delaware campaign. The Cape Gazette has a great feature article on how Michelle and Jay were inspired to start this Fuller Center covenant partner and how Michelle and others kept pushing to become a community servant.
