IN THE NEWS: IndyCar teams unite to build for veteran in Speedway, Indiana

(ESPN, WISH-TV, PitCrew) PitCrew, a group in the IndyCar community that was formed to help veterans in the Indianapolis area, teamed up with The Fuller Center of Central Indiana last week to help a military veteran and his family build a simple, decent home within sight of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, which was an added bonus for Frank Gazvoda. Gazvoda’s favorite IndyCar driver, 2012 series champion Ryan Hunter-Reay, sent a personal video message of congratulations to Gazvoda for the dedication ceremony. Also in attendance at the dedication was Gazvoda’s 93-year-old great uncle Russ Van Treese, who has attended 89 Indy 500 races since his first as a baby in 1923.
