New Jersey-based Erin’s Gift of Hope volunteers put faith into action in North Carolina

At age 15, Erin McFaull was a full-of-life teenager with a heart for missions and putting her faith into action. After her life was cut short by a car accident in 2005, those who knew her best chose to honor her memory by encouraging others — especially teenagers — to follow her example. The result was the nonprofit Erin’s Gift of Hope, based in Pitman, N.J.

The group practices faith in action, going on mission trips to preach the Gospel through action. This week, one group of Erin’s Gift of Hope volunteers was in sweltering Havelock, N.C., helping Sara George and her three children rebuild their home that was nearly destroyed by Hurricane Florence in September of last year.
