Fuller Center Vice President of International Programs Ryan Iafigliola spent much of last week with our partners in El Savador — Gente Ayudando Gente — where he got to see the recently completed 54-home El Espino project; check in with the families of Nuevo Cuscatlán (99 homes), Ahuachapán I and II (91 homes), and La Herradura (30 homes); see progress on the 131-home Nuevo Cuscatlán II project that is now under way; view a future site in El Zonte; and examine new potential home sites in Juayua, where The Fuller Center built its first 14 homes with Gente Ayudando Gente years ago.
In short, it was busy, whirlwind tour of our bustling operation in the country. Fortunately, he captured plenty of images of which you can now view at your leisure in the photo gallery below.
“After being unable to visit for almost two years due to the pandemic, it was so wonderful to be able to see first-hand all that has happened,” Iafigliola said. “The newest community (El Espino) is beautiful! And the one we completed five years ago (Nuevo Cuscatlán I) is as nice — or maybe better — than the day we finished it.”
