Don’t miss our new “More Than Houses” podcast with Dave Diffendal
It’s hard to believe that Dave Diffendal’s history with The Fuller Center for Housing dates only back to 2021. That’s when a friend invited him to join him for a week at a Millard Fuller Legacy Build project in Hillsville, Virginia.

Dave was easy to spot as he was usually the tallest volunteer on the site, but he also caught the attention of fellow volunteers with his infectious energy and enthusiasm. Dave himself was energized by the build experience and has worked on multiple Fuller Center builds since then — including relocating temporarily from his Florida home to Mayfield, Kentucky, where he led this year’s building of an eight-home neighborhood for families impacted by the 2021 tornado there. Next, he’ll be leading April’s Millard Fuller Legacy Build (registration is now open) in Fitzgerald, Georgia.
Now, Dave is bringing his enthusiasm and passion for building a better world through The Fuller Center for Housing to another platform — podcasting.
