Brenda Barton Memorial Blitz Build
We have established a volunteer base in New Bern, N.C., a community of about 30,000 people that was one of the areas hardest hit by both high winds and torrential flooding caused by Hurricane Florence in September 2018. Our specialty — rebuilding mucked-out homes — is badly needed in this area. We have capacity to host 40 volunteers (20 maximum for youth groups). Cost is $125/person. We’ll provide the construction leadership, tools and projects — and you provide the passion for serving families in need.
We are rebuilding in several communities hard-hit by Hurricane Harvey in 2017. Our area of operation extends along the I-45 corridor from southeast Houston to Texas City. Clear Lake Presbyterian Church is graciously providing room and board for 25 volunteers. We’ll provide the construction leadership, tools and projects — and you provide the passion for serving families in need. In 2019 in addition to rebuilding mucked-out homes, we'll be building six entirely new homes for families whose homes were completely destroyed by Harvey.
