ABOUT US

The Detroit Lakes Area Fuller Center assists members of the Detroit Lakes Area (southwest Becker County, Minnesota) build and repair homes at lower overall costs than conventional loans/programs. This is made possible by the Fuller Center for Housing programs, our generous donors, eager volunteers, and active participation and contributions by the beneficiaries of the programs.

Specific requirements/considerations for applicants are subject to change and covered in the application process, however, can be summarized as the following:

• applicant need (can’t qualify for other more conventional loans/programs)

• applicant willingness to partner (“sweat equity” volunteer hours from applicant and/or applicant’s family/sponsors required)

• applicant ability to pay the zero-percent-interest loan/mortgage (or pay-it-forward for repair projects)

Now accepting applications for repair projects (aka Greater Blessing Repair Projects). We do not currently have any active new home build projects, but also accept applications for home ownership in anticipation of future projects.

Join us at the Detroit Lakes City Park 5:30pm, and August for a Picnic in the Park before music at the Bandshell (weather dependent)! Freewill offering collected to support our next projects.
