MONTH IN REVIEW: December 2014
By Chris Johnson,
Director of Communications
The holidays have been great this year, and the Christmas spirit is alive and well in the hearts of Fuller Center supporters and volunteers. Now, we are ready to charge ahead into the year 2015, which will be The Fuller Center’s 10th anniversary (hence the 10th Anniversary logo pictured at right). But while we’re focused on the future, here’s a quick look back at some of the news in December.
- Here’s a report from WLKY-TV about yet another once-vacant house in Louisville that is now a like-new home for a military veteran and family.
- There’s still time to vote in our Story of the Year poll! Click here!
- Macon hosted a group of fraternity brothers from the University of Cincinnati to do work that a homeowner calls "a Christmas miracle." Check out the report from WMGT-TV here.
- President David Snell offered a nice Christmas message and thank you. Click here to see it.
- Our 40 Years in Africa campaign is complete! You helped build 40 new homes with our partners in Africa, including 26 in Nigeria. Click here to learn more.
- We had students from the Serve Beyond Cincinnati service group here in Americus working with the Americus-Sumter group. Click here to see a few photos of them in action.
- Our Global Builders photo contest got a great response.
- A team from Singapore went to India recently through our Global Builders program and completed a new home build there. Click here to read and see photos about the trip from the Trivandrum Fuller Center’s blog.
- Our Bicycle Adventure team came up with a unique little video to send Christmas greetings and encourage everyone to take advantage of early-bird registration savings for next year’s ride. Click here to see it.
- Our latest e-newsletter featured a great letter from donor Doug Miller about why he supports The Fuller Center and its work.
- Here are photos and information about the Southeastern Louisiana women’s soccer team coming out to build a wheelchair ramp for a disabled veteran.
- We recently welcomed Carlos and Alex Aramayo to our Americus headquarters. It looks like this dynamic duo will soon have The Fuller Center active in Bolivia.
- President David Snell recently visited our operation in El Salvador during a trip with the People Helping People network. Here are some photos he shared.
Thank you for being a partner in this ministry! We look forward to building a better world together in 2015!
