Day 48: Keep Your Thoughts Positive

Well hello again to our FCBA followers!
Worn out by the wind and endless roads of yesterday, my team of strong cyclists woke up slowly this morning. We sat to eat our pancake breakfast and worked together to complete the morning chores. And then as morning routine always has it, everyone grabbed his or her bicycle and gear to head outside to circle up for our daily devotion.

Midas (our FCBA videographer extraordinaire) gave us a message we all desperately needed to hear. In all honesty, some days the team (myself included) has been somewhat tired or cranky because of one reason or another. With only two and a half weeks left to enjoy the road and each other’s company before we arrive at the final destination of Vancouver, we needed a reminder of the important values of positivity, kindness, and love. Little did we know, Midas would piece together a wise message for our weary hearts in hopes of helping us arrive back on track.

After his words we left the charming town of Malta, Idaho and headed seventy-three respectively flat miles to Twin Falls. I’m not sure about the other riders, but I know that I felt hopeful the entire ride. Knowing that the air was clear and that everything was going to be okay. Optimistic. Eating leftover pancakes from breakfast at rest stops. Tasty. Yes, the Idaho wind pushed us around. Yet, we rolled right on through it. Every pedal stroke is bringing us closer to our destiny.
