Bicycle Adventure embarks upon West Coast ride Sunday in Seattle

The Fuller Center Bicycle Adventure is assembling in Seattle today and will have an orientation Saturday before setting off Sunday on a 36-mile ride to Tacoma, Wash., on the first leg of its 1,650-mile West Coast ride. This fundraising and awareness journey comes on the heels of a successful 2,000-mile journey from Saco, Maine to Key West, Fla., that ended on June 20.

So far, the Bicycle Adventure has raised just over $150,000 toward its $200,000 fundraising goal for 2012, and leader Allen Slabaugh is optimistic the team will be able to reach and perhaps even surpass that goal before the team arrives at the ride’s destination in San Diego on August 12.
