Rhode Island couple pen outstanding travelogue about Global Builders trip to Armenia

If you want to know what a Fuller Center Global Builders trip to Armenia is like, just ask John and June Mangassarian, a service-minded couple from Providence, Rhode Island.

Actually, you don’t have to ask them because they’ve described such a trip in extensive and fascinating detail in a first-person travelogue about their experience this year that appears in the Armenian Weekly that you can read here.

In it, the Mangassarians write about:

  • How they learned about the Global Builders’ program in Armenia through a friendship made at Camp Haiastan more than 50 years ago
  • The differences between going to Armenia on vacation in 2019 and on a service trip led by Leo and Sona Manuelian in 2021
  • Having Mount Ararat (where the Bible says Noah’s Ark came to rest) as a backdrop for the entire build
  • The physically exhausting but spiritually satisfying days on the site, helping a family that had been living in a metal container
  • Their impressions of some major Armenia tourist attractions
  • And much, much more

For more details and images, check out their report in the Armenian Weekly.
