Alabama widow gets new home exactly two years after tornado killed her husband
When the massive E-4 tornado struck Lee County, Alabama, on March 3, 2019, some people lost family members. Many people lost their homes. Carol Dean lost both her house and her husband. In all, 23 community members were killed in the storm.
Her husband’s name was David Dean, but folks around the Beauregard community knew him simply as “Road Dog.” He loved motorcycles, and as Chattahoochee Fuller Center Project Executive Director Kim Roberts noted at Wednesday’s dedication in Beauregard on the two-year anniversary of the tornado, he would love that Carol has a beautiful new Fuller Center home.
Columbus, Georgia’s WTVM was on hand to document the moment that Carol was handed the keys to her new home and report on the emotional day.
