Advisory Council

The Fuller Center advisory council is composed of individuals who have an active interest in the work of The Fuller Center. The council meets at least once annually and focuses its attention on increasing awareness of The Fuller Center and on raising funds to support its work.

Muse was the president or chancellor of University of Akron, Auburn University and East Carolina.

Margaret Chrisman

Chrisman is a founding board member Habitat for Humanity Central Arizona. She was an officer and board member Habitat for Humanity International from and HFHI board’s committee chair for McKenzie & Company’s worldwide study of Habitat for Humanity.

Anthony DiSpigno

DiSpigno is a recognized leader in the education and nonprofit arenas, with an outstanding record of achievement in the strategic oversight and implementation of development initiatives. He served with The Boys and Girls Club of America. DiSpigno was Senior Vice President for Resource Development at Habitat for Humanity.

Hubbard H. (Hub) Erickson

Dr. Gregory L. Hunt
President of Directions, Inc.

Hunt is a highly-regarded speaker, consultant, and writer. He leverages his wide-ranging work in the worlds of church, community, business, academia, counseling, and relationship education to help people think holistically and purposefully about their lives, relationships, and organizations.

As pastor of First Baptist Church, Shreveport (2002-2009), Hunt led his congregation to become actively involved with the Fuller Center for Housing project in the Allendale section of town. In September, 2009, after 30+ years of pastoral ministry, Hunt transitioned into full-time work as president of Directions, Inc., a non-profit he and his wife, Priscilla, formed to serve people as they lead their organizations, relationships and lives.

Philip Lader

A lawyer, Lader is also a director of Lloyd’s of London, a director of RAND, Marathon Oil, Rusal, AES Corporations and Songbird Estates (Canary Wharf), a trustee of the Smithsonian Museum of American History and the Atlantic Council and a member of the Council of Foreign Relations. Lader was the former U.S. Ambassador to the Court of St. James. He served in President Clinton’s Cabinet and was White House Deputy Chief of Staff and Assistant to the President.

J. David Matthews

Matthews cofounded Forsyth County Habitat for Humanity. He was a member of the Global Leadership Council at Habitat for Humanity International.

Mack McCarter

McCarter founded CRI in 1994 in Shreveport and it is now an internationally recognized organization. He represented CRI at the Clinton Global Initiative in 2008 and 2009.

Don Mosley

Mosley served with Peace Corps in Malaysia and S. Korea, lived at Koinonia Farm 1970-79, helped start Habitat for Humanity and served on its Board of Directors for ten years.

George L. Tolman

Tolman co-founded Habitat for Humanity in Tucson and helped establish other affiliates in Arizona, New Mexico, California and Montana. 

John Wieland

Wieland is also a member of the Real Estate Advisory Council of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta and a past chairman of the board of Directors of the Bank. He is a past chairman of the Advisory Council for the Emory University Center for Ethics and served on the Habitat for Humanity International Board.

Katie Weir

Weir serves on the boards of Glen Retirement System and Samaritan Counseling Center. She served previously as the Board Chair of Volunteers of America North La. Weir is an active member of First United Methodist Church.
