A message from Fuller Center President David Snell
As we look back on 2025—our 20th anniversary year—I’m filled with gratitude for all that God has done through this ministry and through faithful friends like you. Among the many stories that touched our hearts, none are more powerful than those of children now growing up in safe, decent homes built on a foundation of faith and love.
We recently visited the Morris family in Fitzgerald, Georgia, where local volunteers came together for their first Millard Fuller Legacy Build. For a full month, that small town buzzed with hope as a vacant lot on Main Street became a place of laughter and life. It became a home.
“It’s so beautiful,” said Taylor Morris, while her daughters—Maddie (11), Morgan (7), and Abigail (5)—joyfully led us through their new home. “This is our forever home. It’s life-changing. I hope it inspires other families like us who don’t feel like they’re good enough—that they can have a home like this too.”
They saw God’s love in action—what Millard called the Theology of the Hammer. They saw it not only in the walls that went up, but in the neighbors who came together to lift them up.
“We saw the community come together for the first time in our lives,” Taylor told us. “It reminded us that no matter what’s happening in the world, God is still in control.”
Your generosity makes moments like this possible. You give families like the Morrises—and single parents like Bria Brown in Oxford, Mississippi—the chance to break free from uncertainty. Bria, who serves with the University of Mississippi Police Department, once drove 30 miles to work each day. Now, thanks to her new Fuller Center home, she and her daughter Zion are planted in a safe neighborhood and part of a great school community.
“We’re still in shock,” Bria said. “I never imagined becoming a homeowner, but with God’s help and the Oxford-Lafayette Fuller Center, it happened. This is such a blessing for Zion and me.”
At a time when so many families are struggling to find decent, affordable places to live, your kindness shines as a light of hope. Together, we’re not just building homes—we’re building faith, restoring dignity, and proving that God’s love is still at work in this world.
That’s the Theology of the Hammer! And together, with your continued support, we’ll keep hammering—and keep building a better world.
United in Faith, Compassion, and Hope,
President, The Fuller Center for Housing
