The Fuller Center for Housing of Greater Kansas City is the result of a group of churches, called Christian Carpenters, responding to the unmet housing needs of people and families in the community. Christian Carpenters responding to a need by Northland Neighborhoods along with the Fuller Center of Greater Kansas City, help complete the “trinity” of collaborative partners that will work together on this first project.

The service area for Fuller Center of Greater Kansas City is primarily Clay and Platte Counties which are located in the “Northland ” of Greater Kansas City, Missouri. Knowing the need for the Greater Blessing Box program is significant throughout the metro, Greater Kansas City Fuller Center is laying the groundwork to respond to needs throughout Greater Kansas City. New home building will also be part of the mission of Fuller Center of Greater Kansas City. With a significant amount of aging owner-occupied housing stock, built in the 1950’s and 1960’s in need of repair. Fuller Center of Greater Kansas City will also serve low and fixed income elderly and people with disabilities with home repairs and renovations.

Latest New Home Project:
The building of a new, universal design home for a single woman with multiple disabilities that has her confined to a wheelchair is nearing completion and homeowner Lorie Perdieu is expected to move in by November. The home built in partnership with Northland Neighborhoods, Inc. is handicap accessible enabling the homeowner to live independently.
