Come and be part of helping Ginger Ford Northshore Fuller Center rebuild flood damaged homes in Hammond, Louisiana during the week of April 24-27th. Ginger Ford Northshore Fuller Center for Housing expects to spend the next couple of years helping residents who were affected by the March 2016 flood that affected more than 500 homes in Tangipahoa Parish. You can help be part of the recovery!

 

Build Information:

The work for the week will be restoring 5 flood damaged homes- all located within 20 minutes of each other. Work will include insulation, trim carpentry and drywall repairs. 

 

Registration Information:

Registration Fee: $150 per person– includes Sunday dinner, Monday-Thursday continental breakfast at volunteer lodging, Monday-Thursday lunch at site, Monday-Wednesday dinner, Thursday dinner is on your own. Check in dates are Sunday, April 23rd after 3:00 p.m.and check out is Friday, April 28th by 11: a.m.. All other check in and check out times must be pre-arranged in writing.

Lodging Information:

Volunteer Lodging:
Volunteer lodging will be at First Presbyterian Church of Hammond-volunteer lodging will be on cots with shower facilities. A continental breakfast will be included with volunteer lodging. Space is limited and will be on a first come basis. Please mark on your registration that you would like to reserve a spot in volunteer lodging. Volunteer lodging check-in for the Bayou Build begins after 3 p.m. Sunday, April 23, 2017 and check-out is before before 11 a.m. Friday, April 28, 2017. Any additional requests for check in and check out dates and times must be requested in writing. Contact Brenda Barton at brenda@fullercenter.org for information.

 

Meals:

Registration fees include continental breakfast at volunteer lodging Monday through Thursday-lunch on the build sites Monday-Thursday, and dinner Sunday-Wednesday. Thursday dinner is on your own.

 

Travel Information:

Flying:
The nearest major airport is located 38.5 miles away in New Orleans at the Louis Armstrong International Airport. Transportation will not be included to and from airport for the conference.
